Thank you for sharing your art process, Sean. These examples of thumbnails are a great teaching point for my comics students. I like how you include the word balloons and caption boxes in your panel compositions. I'd love to get you and Ed to visit our art school, The Academy of Art University in San Francisco for a lecture! Keep up the great work!
Thanks Dan. I always put the text in before doing any drawing, helps me leave enough space for it and aids storytelling. Thanks for the invite, but I'm a bit far away from San Francisco in the UK.
We may be able to cover your travel and lodging if planned out far enough or tie it in to a trip you have planned to the States sometime. I believe Ed is still here as well. Great to have you both in the fall or spring '14. My wife and I hope to travel abroad in '14 to do a couple of comic shows if possible.
Welcome to my blog. You've probably gotten here from my website www.seanphillips.co.uk. I plan on this place being a companion piece to there, hopefully updated more often.
Every working day I'll post an example of what I've been working on that day. a favourite panel or cover or sometimes a whole page of comics.
