“THE LONGEST WEEKEND”
Archie Lewis was the artist’s artist in his heyday, although that’s not what he’s famous for. He’s famous for being a nightmare to work with—and dangerous. So when an old assistant is forced to chaperone his one-time mentor to receive his lifetime achievement award, well… let’s just say things don’t go well.

MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN JUNKIES
MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN JUNKIES, the first original graphic novel
from the award-winning and bestselling team Ed Brubaker (writer on HBO’s
Westworld, co-creator of Too Old to Die Young with
Nicolas Winding Refn for Amazon Studios) and Sean Phillips—the creative
team behind CRIMINAL, KILL OR BE KILLED, THE FADE OUT and FATALE—will
hit stores this October.
"Sean and I have been talking about doing our version of a romance comic for a long time, so naturally it ended up being a crime story, too. But it's one that allows me to mine some of my own pop culture obsessions and delve back into my teen years and the kind of trouble you can only get into when you're young," said Brubaker. "And coming off a long project like Kill Or Be Killed, it just felt like this was the perfect time for us to experiment with format and finally do an original graphic novel. We're both very excited to be creating something that's designed to be seen first in hardback. That's a new one for us, in nearly 20 years of working together."
Ever since the death of her junkie mother, Ellie has been obsessed with famous drug addicts. Those tragic artistic souls drawn to needles and pills have been her angels and idols. But when Ellie lands in an upscale rehab clinic where nothing is what it appears to be... she'll find another more dangerous romance, and find out how easily drugs and murder go hand in hand.
MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN JUNKIES will be presented in a gorgeous hardcover format and is sure to be a seductive coming-of-age story, a pop and drug culture-fueled tale of a young girl seeking darkness... and what she finds there.
MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN JUNKIES (Diamond Code FEB188004, ISBN: 978-1-5343-0846-6) will be available in comic book stores on Wednesday, October 10th and bookstores on Tuesday, October 16th.

Kill Or Be Killed #17 Variant Cover
Here is my variant cover for KOBK #17, done as part of Image Comics' #webelieve initiative.
The We Believe in Artists series will be the first of many initiatives throughout a 2018 campaign highlighting the important, lately overlooked components of the comics industry, the publisher said in a statement.
“Simply put, without artists, there would be no comics. The success of the comics industry ultimately hinges on well-told stories, but because comics is by definition a visual medium, artists are integral to that storytelling,” Image Publisher Eric Stephenson said in comments supplied by the company. “Image has always believed in the importance of artists — our company was founded by artists, after all — and we are proud to celebrate the fact that artists of all stripes — from pencilers and inkers to colorists, letterers and graphic designers — continue to make this wonderful medium so vital, vibrant and unique.”
The March covers will run without titles, endorsement quotes, names, logos or jacket copy.
