does this approach sometimes slow you down? as in, does it turn out a few more lines would've helped, or some part has too many overlapped lines making it hard to read?
Sometimes I do refine a detail with a pencil before inking. But maybe only once or twice an issue. Usually these loose pencils give me plenty of information for inking.
