Wow. That looks brilliant! And dark!
How do you manage to get that misty background? I've tried adding water and letting it settle a bit before I add ink, but maybe I'm not adding enough? Could you share your knowledge? :)
looks like he masked off the area first, then used a guach mix with fairly rapid, circular brush strokes...wish I had seen this pic before I drew three pages of a guy in hoody....
Just slapped on a bit of watercolour!
