It's amazing how close the thumbnails are to the finished art: If you're using photo ref are you taking the shots after putting down the pencils (in which case there must be a lot of adjusting yourself to match the sketch) or taking photos first and sketching them out to plan how you want to use them on the page? Either way, it's a good way to not be ruled by the photography and keep control of the page.
