I use a Faber Castell Pitt pen for outlines and then a Pentel Colour brush pen. I used to use real sable brushes for years but they don't seem to last as long nowadays.
Just dropped by to say that I love your work Sean. I'm a Canadian who discovered your art with Wilcats 2.0 and have followed you to Sleeper, Uncanny X-Men, JSA, Hawkman, Batman: Jekyl & Hyde, and Marvel Zombies.
I'm pumped that your back with Ed Brubaker doing this series. Sleeper was my favorite book and I was sad to see it end.
Anyways, I love your art and just wanted to thank you for the great comics over these past years and I look forward to reading Criminal for a long time.
P.S. When you sell the movie rights for a gadjillion dollars don't stop drawing comics.

Welcome to my blog. You've probably gotten here from my website www.seanphillips.co.uk. I plan on this place being a companion piece to there, hopefully updated more often.
Every working day I'll post an example of what I've been working on that day. a favourite panel or cover or sometimes a whole page of comics.

Great panel. Great dialogue, too.
Great stuff! What do you ink with? Is that just a micron marker and then a brush for the thicker blacks?

Thanks, Jeff, nice of you to say that. Don't worry, I have no plans to leave comics when we sell Criminal as a movie.
