College

Haven't done any work today, went to my local art college to talk to some students about comics. The class is doing a graphic novel for their project so I went to tell what little I know on the subject. Thanks to Dan and Annie for the invitation, I really enjoyed it.
Here's a painting I did back in the mists of time when I was a similar age to the students who had to sit through my talk. I must have done it when I was around 17...

I think it is safe to say Here Sean, that your talent was obvious at a very young age, great piece.

I think all at college would be delighted to get you to look at the novel when its finished

Wow Sean, you really had your path decided at an early age. Very impressive.

I am really jealous. I have just come across your blog for the first time today and it is at times like these that I sincerely wish I could even remotely draw something that resembled its subject. Some similarly challenged friends of mine are attending art classes convinced the basics can be taught - but I am not sure. If all I can manage is a stick dog (on a good day) I am surely a lost cause.

Ho well!

All the best,

Ian TB
