Man you do a great Conan in the vein of Buscema and Adams. Very classic. I'm really looking forward to this. If you get a chance (and maybe you've already seen it) you should check out Savage Sword of Conan #24. Aside from being one of the great Conan stories it might just be some of John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala's best work.
I love all those Savage Swords, Buscema was the best. My favourites are #4 Iron Shadows In The Moon and #15 The Devil In Iron. I can remember buying those when I was a kid and being blown away by the art.
Hey are you doing Conan now? This is great! Are you doing a Conan assignment? I am a Conan geek from way back I must admit. I actually collected SSOC in high school back in the early late 80's and my fave was Gary Kwapizc (sp?) even though he wasn't as solid as Buscema. There was something about his halftones and design that really grabbed me back then.
Welcome to my blog. You've probably gotten here from my website www.seanphillips.co.uk. I plan on this place being a companion piece to there, hopefully updated more often.
Every working day I'll post an example of what I've been working on that day. a favourite panel or cover or sometimes a whole page of comics.
