Hi, Sean. Long time lurker, first time poster (I think).
As always, your blog fills me with awe and envy in equal amounts.
It thrills me no end, therefore, to be able to bring you a lettering hint…
I notice you're using what looks like Tim Sale Lower for the narrative captions on this page -- if you want a crossbar 'I' for the pronoun I in Tim Sale, you can get one using SHIFT+Backslash (next to the return key).
Unless, of course, it's an intentional stylistic thing, in which case, I'll shut me gob.
I'm not sure if you're using Illustrator for your lettering, Sean, but if you are, I've been running a series of articles on my blog about using it for lettering. I've got nowt to tell you about lettering (at which you're clearly more than adept!) but I know that Illustrator's not the most user-friendly bit of software, so I'm trying to share some of my fifteen-plus years' experience as an Illustrator user…

Nope, not a stylistic thing, I just didn't know how to get the crossbar! Thanks for the tip, Jim.
ReplyDeleteA pleasure, sir!
