Also in the Eagle comics I bought were some Heros the Spartan strips. It used to be drawn by Frank Bellamy but the later ones I have are by Luis Bermejo. Still good stuff though...
This stuff is priceless, how comes i have never heard of this before! im currently pencilling my own sword and sandel epic - based on the Romans invading britain, personally I don't think there are enough ancient warware stories out there - and here is one I will now be chasing!thanks for the heads up
I'm old enough to remember this the first time around and although Frank Bellamy was a genius at dramatic and beautifully drawn comic strips, I thought the strips drawn by Luis Bermejo were also fantastic. I own one of his originals and was heartened to learn on a recent trip to Mallorca that he's still with us and lives just outside of Palma. I hope that on a future trip I my be able to meet him.
Welcome to my blog. You've probably gotten here from my website www.seanphillips.co.uk. I plan on this place being a companion piece to there, hopefully updated more often.
Every working day I'll post an example of what I've been working on that day. a favourite panel or cover or sometimes a whole page of comics.
