It was my birthday yesterday. My wife bought me a Nintendo DS. I'm not really into computer games, but I wanted one so I could use Colors, a great piece of painting software. I'll be able to use the DS as a portable painting studio. Here's a sketch I did with it of my son Jake yesterday while we were out for lunch...
good to know i'm not alone in comics having the 27th as my bday.
ReplyDeletehope yours was a good one.

was thinking of doing the DS thingy meself.. would you recommend it?
ReplyDeleteSigh...
ReplyDeleteYou're just on the planet to taunt us with your talent, aren't you, Sean?!
Happy Birthday!
Congrats on the DS, Colors is almost annoyingly easy and fun to sketch with. Can't help but wonder why it took this long and a gameboy to get a solid little digital sketchbook into the world...
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Sean!
ReplyDeleteSo how do I get Colors on my DS? I have a vague understanding of this new-fangled "homebrew" software, but wondered if you know an easy route...
It sounds fun but do you really not draw for enough hours in the day? Or does it actually produce something that can be used profesionally?
ReplyDeleteI get mentally exhausted after just a few days of drawing and the last thing I ever feel like doing is drawing in my spare time. I think you and Weston must have something in you diet to stop this from happening...
Happy birthday!
Brilliant work on the Marvel Zombies, Sean!
