Love the juxtaposition of the two styles, too. Great work. And yes to the Colan comparison, but I'd also throw in Bill Sienkiewicz and David Lloyd as a couple of possible touchstones. Plus, lacerating (literally) writing. Kudos to Brubaker.

The flashback sequences remind me of Gene Colan's pencils on Nathanial Dusk.
