No more work for a couple of days as I'm away to London tomorrow to see the UK premiere of Superman Returns (and to hang out at the after show party star-spotting).
what did you think of the film? on this side of the pond, they're all up in arms over the somewhat murky moral structure of superman-- historically a real stand-up guy.
I thought the film was OK, not sure it was worth the 600 mile round trip. The story was terrible, but some exciting bits. Wasn't sure about Superman killing and his son killing that guy with a piano. The after show party at the Old Bailey was good though. Free champagne and minor celeb-spotting.
The plot just sounds like a steroided-up version of Donner's movie (an overly comedic Lex Luthor plots a deadly land deal, while the Clark-Lois-Superman love triangle simmers along). As such it probably shares the original's major flaws.
I'll be giving this a miss until it hits Sky Movies, but Superman or his implied son involved in any way in killing? Wrong on all levels.
Clearly, your massive hangover is preventing you from posting either a review or some sordid backstage anecdotes. For shame.
