Been wanting this book for over 30 years, ever since seeing a preview in Creepy magazine. Well worth the wait, over 200 pages of Maroto and other great Euro artists.
Those images behind the annual, Sean, where are they from, then. A book? I've seen that face. That's Davis Brook from John Wagner and Arthur Ranson's Button Man series.
I'd heard of some kind of artists' reference books from the seventies that exist. Did you acquire one of them?
That is indeed a copy of one of the Fairburn System of artist's ref books. I bought the set around 20 years ago. They're out of print but expensive copies do turn up online sometimes. A few of them are still available here...
Welcome to my blog. You've probably gotten here from my website www.seanphillips.co.uk. I plan on this place being a companion piece to there, hopefully updated more often.
Every working day I'll post an example of what I've been working on that day. a favourite panel or cover or sometimes a whole page of comics.

I have a full NM run of the original magazines. Some really great stuff in them!
