That Iron Man armour was my choice, it's my favourite. he hasn't had decent armour design for thirty years... It was a toothbrush, but loaded with masking fluid. I then inked over that.
You've probably been told this before Sean, but you draw a *great* Spider-Man. Kind of reminiscent of the Gil Kane/Jim Mooney model, with shades of Sal Buscema. Nice.
Dan, I much prefer the old style classic Spider-man look over the Todd McFarlane style. My favourites are Gil Kane inked by John Romita, especially the Death of Gwen Stacy issues. John Byrne used to do a great version back in the day too.
I was a teenager when the McFarlane Spidey hit, and I confess I was suckered in by the excess webbing, oddball anatomy, big, big eyes and pointless detail. Not to mention the "dark" storytelling (remember when he tried to rebrand Spidey as the Arachknight? Yikes). I've wised up since, of course.
Is that the Mark 3 Iron Man Armor? It's cool. But you know it's kinda strange, you see a 80s X-Men lineup and 60s costumes, a flat screen (Army of darkness) So what's the year? 60s,70s or 2000s??
Welcome to my blog. You've probably gotten here from my website www.seanphillips.co.uk. I plan on this place being a companion piece to there, hopefully updated more often.
Every working day I'll post an example of what I've been working on that day. a favourite panel or cover or sometimes a whole page of comics.

Cool man but I have a question, would you like to bring a little hint about the story in this? Or is confidential still?....
I like the specific model of Iron Man armour you're drawing, Sean. That particular model is my favourite too. Was that your choice?
crrepy image! Great work ;)

Fantastic work again Sean! I really like the space background did you use a toothbrush for the space effects?

Hey Sean, could you fill me in on something? I though Spiderman was a zombie? How come his mask is fully over his head...

Huge congrats on the Eisner win, by the way!
