Blast From The Past

Back to work today, but nothing worth showing yet. In fact, as I'm drawing the last issue of Coward, the first arc of Criminal, I don't really want to show anything from that which would give the ending away. So for the next week or so I'll be posting up some of my less embarrassing old work. Before I became a world famous titan of American comic books, I drew for British girls comics in the eighties. Most of these were one or three pages or sometimes an epic of seven or eight episodes of three pages each. No decompression in British comics!
This first piece was a cover for Judy which I drew in 1987 when I was still at college..

I had no idea you could draw just like Archie comics. I will have to use that.

Was that at IPC or DC Thompson?

DC Thomson. Only ever did one job for IPC, a war story which I did terrible work on. Not even sure if it ever saw print.
